Kim Kardashian gets around $60K to bring her big ass to a party and even reality dad Jon “I’m not using my kids to make money” Gosselin makes $10K to show up at a party. Ashlee Simpson’s character is being cut from Melrose Place.  Producers on the show say that once her mystery story line had ended that they wanted to move the show in a different direction so she along with another cast member were cut. Reports are that everyone from AC/DC to Britney Spears to Sesame Street had their music blared at the captives in hopes of driving them crazy and making them talk. Rapper/singer Lil Wayne pleaded guilty on Thursday to attempted criminal possession of a gun in New York. The plea was the end of an ordeal that began with a 2007 arrest when a gun was found on his tour bus.  He next appears in court on Dec 15th for sentencing where it is expected that he will be sentenced to one year in jail. Reports are surfacing today that Lindsay Lohan turned down a major roll in the movie hit movie The Hangover. Sources close to US Magazine have reported that  Lindsay decided to turn the movie down because she felt the script “had no potential.” Of course the Todd Philips directed movie has gone on to gross over 200 million dollars at the box office so it looks like she might have been a little off on that assessment. MTV executive producers David Sirulnick has confirmed that they will be ending its daily countdown show TRL at the end of November.  “We want to close this era of TRL in a big celebratory way, and 10 is a great number,” Sirulnick told the Associated Press. “And 10 is the number that TRL counted down every single day for 10 years, and we hit this 10th (anniversary) and we thought, You know what? This feels like the right time, and let’s celebrate it and let’s reward it. And let’s let it have a little bit of a rest for a minute.” The picture with this story is of Carson Daly, the first host of the show has left years ago to host a nightly talk show on NBC. No word as to if he will return for old time sake before the show comes to an end.

Newlywed talk show host Ellen Degeneres has just signed on to be the new face of Cover Girl. People reports that Ellen has shot some commercials for the make-up company and they should start airing in January.

Sexy screen siren Keira Knightley is so sick of people telling her she is too thin that she has said she should get pregnant just to shut people up. She said, “That’s a good reason to have a kid. After the brilliant opening skit from this last weeks SNL showing Amy Poehler and Tina Fey playing Hilary Clinton and Sarah Palin comes the news that after the presidential election Amy Poeler, like Fey before her, will be leaving SNL. She is going to be giving birth to her first child then after her maternity leave she is set to star in a show that is a spin-off of The Office. She will be missed, she is great on that show.
